על התגשמות החלומות ומצבי קיצון

והשבוע בפינתנו ארץ DC ירושלים:

מחר נקרא בפרשת "ויהי מקץ שנתיים ימים"
על התגשמות החלומות, ומצבי קיצון

הפרשה שוב מתחילה בחלום, אך הפעם של פרעה.
יוסף שוב פותר את החלום והופך מאסיר- למשנה למלך.
כשהאחים מגיעים לקנות אוכל יוסף מתנכר אליהם ואוסר את אחיו הגדול.
האחים 'חוזרים בתשובה' ומחזירים את אחיהם בכל מחיר כולל לסכן את האחיינים;
"ויאמר ראובן את שני בני תמית אם לא אביאנו אליך".

השבוע רגע לפני שהתחלנו את החג בשירת:
🎶רעות שבעה נפשי ביגון כוחי כילה..
באו נוגשים, וחיי מיררו בקושי🎶
ובמקום שמחה קיצונית לה חיכינו "מקץ שנתיים ימים" עברנו לאבל קיצוני.

בתגובה הנשיא השכן הכריז: 'אתם צריכים לחגוג בגאווה את מי שאתם' ממש 🎶ראש ימיני נשאת🎶
אבל מי אנחנו?
אנחנו- עם הספר
לספר- יש ארץ שבה התרחש סיפור החשמונאים
ולארץ- יש עיר בה הודלקה המנורה בימים ההם.
האם יתגשם החלום וגם בזמן הזה?

כדי שיתגשם צריך לספר על החלום בראש חוצות..
אז יצאנו בגאווה לחגוג בחוצות העיר
את מה שמתארת ההפטרה;
"מנורת זהב כולה ושניים זיתים עליה מימין ומשמאל" (ע"ע סמל מדינתנו)

בתפילה שיתגשם החלום ואחינו רון גוילי, "אוד מוצל מאש", יחזור במהרה
כי בלעדיו "לא תראו פני בלתי אחיכם איתכם"

ורק אז תתקיים פתיחת ההפטרה "רוני ושמחי בת ציון כי הינני בא ושכנתי בתוכך.. ובחר עוד בירושלים"
🎶מעוז צור ישועתי לך נאה לשבח תיכון בית תפילתי ושם תודה נזבח, חנוכת המזבח🎶

בתפילה וחיבוק לאחינו באוסטרליה, היבשת ממנה האור מתחיל.
לא נחדל מלהדליק את האור .

Tomorrow we will read Parashat “at the end of two years to the day”
about the fulfillment of dreams and moments of extreme turning points.

The portion once again begins with a dream this time Pharaoh’s.
Joseph interprets the dream and rises from prisoner to viceroy of Egypt.

When the brothers come to buy food, Joseph is cruel to them and imprisons his older brother.
The brothers “repent” and are willing to bring their brother back at any cost
even risking their own children:
"Then Reuben said you may slay my two sons if I fail to bring him back to you"

This week, just moments before we began the festival with the song:
🎶 My soul is sated with sorrow, my strength consumed…

Enemy came, and embittered my life with hardship 🎶

instead of the great joy we had awaited for "two full years to the day",
we were forced into Great mourning.

In response, the president declared:
“You must celebrate who you are proudly,”
almost echoing 🎶 The head of Yemini You have lifted 🎶
But who are we?

We- are the People of the Book.
The Book- has a Land where the Hasmonean story took place.
And the Land- has a City where the menorah was lit in the days in the past.

Will the dream be fulfilled even in the days of our time?

For it to be fulfilled, the dream must be told openly, in the public.
And so we went out proudly to celebrate in the streets of the city
what the Haftarah describes:

"there is a Menorah made entirely of gold.. and it's seven lamps.. and two olive trees are near it one on the right and one to its left"
(the symbol of our state).

With a prayer that the dream be fulfilled,
and that our brother Ron Givli, “this is indeed a firebrand rescued from flames,”
will return home soon
for without him, “you shall not see my face unless your brother is with you.”

Only then will the opening of the Haftarah come to pass:
"Sing and be glad daughter of Zion for behold, I come and I will dwell among you.. and he shall choose Jerusalem"

🎶 Rock of my salvation, to You it is fitting to give praise;
establish my house of prayer and there we shall offer thanksgiving
the dedication of the altar 🎶

With prayer and an embrace for our brothers and sisters in Australia,
the continent from which the light begins.
We will not cease to kindle the light.

Shabbat.
The beginning of the month of Tevet.
And the beginning of the fulfillment of our dreams.
