התיקון הראשון;

אפשר לפחות לדרוש בתקיפות;

את הלוחם רני גאוילי לקבר ישראל כמו שנאמר;

ENGLISH

And this week in Eretz DC Yerushalaim:

The First Amendment;
🇺🇸 “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” 🇺🇸

Tomorrow we will read in the Torah portion:
“I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob… and I also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan (12)”

About the First Amendment of the Empire’s constitution.

Moses- wanted for 'war crimes' and Aaron- the slave, make use of their most basic right: freedom of speech and the right to seek redress of grievances.

They approach peacefully, stand before Pharaoh, and demand:
“Let My people go, that they may serve Me.”
(Yes, that is the full demand.)

And they add a warning:
“But if you refuse to let them go…”

When Pharaoh refuses, God begins to bring the plagues upon him and his people.
Starting tomorrow, we will read about 7/10 of the plagues, the last of which is hail,
a flood of hail.
Once again, a flood___

At the same time, these very days, our friends in Persia are gathering to seek redress of grievances, and are suffering plagues of blood and wild beasts.

The Haftarah concludes:
“On that day I will grow the house of Israel, and I will give you an opening of the mouth among them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.”

So freedom of speech, peaceful assembly, and the correction of injustices?
Yes! not only legitimate, but worthy.

Gathering in order to burn down a synagogue in Mississippi?
absolutely not!

So The Torah portion, the Haftarah, and the First Amendment all speak of “an opening of the mouth.”

The question is:
Will we, in DC, use this tool?

So that the attached video from the White House becomes routine:

And if in your opinion the Temple Mount is still “a FROG that is hard to swallow,”
can we at least demand forcefully:
“Let my Rani go, that we may bury him!
For if you refuse to let him go__”
After all, the President respects assertiveness.

With a prayer that this Shabbat we merit:
“I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel…
and I remembered My covenant…
and I will LEAD OUT, and I will REDEEM, and I will TAKE, and I will BRING.”
the fighter Ran Gvili to burial in Israel, as it is written:
“And I will bring out My Army, My people, the children of Israel.”

In the image:
The realization of last week’s blessing
and the first line of the First Amendment.
