https://youtu.be/-b0dedTY1yM

ENGLISH
The Eighth in Eretz DC Yerushalaim:
Who knows 8?
https://youtu.be/-b0dedTY1yM
Right after the 7th day of Pesach, tomorrow we will read Parashat Shmini:
"And on the 8th day"
About the uncertainty, and knowing that at the end it all comes together for the best.
The opening ceremony of the priests work is stuck by a tragedy; two of Aaron's sons die in the Tabernacle, but their family members are not allowed to mourn.
Sounds Weird? Wait, it evolves.
The Israeliets recive a list of animals which they are forbidden to eat, and those who touch their carcass becomes Impure.
How do you become pure again? You wash with water, that's it.
Sounds crazy I know, the whole purity concept is very unclear, but on the other hand it is one of the traditions that kept Jewish life all together.
The Jewish world surrounds mostly around the number 7,
And when we get to 8 things get messy.
For example 8 days of 'Mila' are often confused by 'Shabta'
Yesterday our Jewish neighbors celebrated the 8th day of Passover
And on Hanuka we light 8 candles I'm memory of the 7 branch temple Menorah
In these days when it's unclear what's going on in our country.
It's good to remind ourselves that exactly 2.5 years ago,
On Shmini 8 atzeret everything went horribly unclear, but one thing was guaranteed:
We all came united, 'together we shall win' 'Beyachad nenatzech'.
And today when the big picture of the middle east is more clear (at least till yesterday) take a moment and think, how many things changed for the best around our country?
Without forgetting for a moment our loved ones who fell on a holy duty, just like Nadav, Avihu and Uza which we will read about tomorrow.
We are obligated to "come close and carry our brothers from within the sacred location"
And continue the mission that is described in the Haftarah;
"David walked and carried the Ark of God to the City Of David with joy"
Today is the 8th day in the Omer.
'the merciful will return the temple work to it's place soon in our days'
In the picture-
Why was 10 afraid of 7?
Because 7 8 9.
Our local #8 that eats his opponents and gives us much joy with all the uncertainty surrounding us.
