השבוע בפינתנו ארץ DC ירושלים:

כאן בארצות הברית נקרא מחר בפרשת "נשא את ראש בני גרשון ומררי"
על חלוקת תפקידים, התגלות וברכות.

הפרשה פותחת בחלוקת תפקידים;
שבט לוי- נשיאת חלקי המשכן.
נשיאי השבטים- חנוכת המשכן.

ומה תפקיד משפחתו של אהרון?
"כה תברכו את בני ישראל;
יברכך ה' וישמרך
יאר ה' פניו אליך ויחונך
ישא ה' פניו אליך וישם לך שלום"

את הברכה העתיקה יהודים ברחבי העולם יברכו הערב את ילדיהם.
עד כמה היא עתיקה?
הברכה כתובה על קלף בן 2700 שנה שהתגלה בירושלים בסמיכות לגן הפעמון.

במעמד הברכה לקהל, הכהנים נושאים את כפיהם בצורת🖖
בהשראתו של המעמד, השחקן היהודי ליאונרד נימוי, הטמיע את הסימן בסדרה המפורסמת 'מסע בין כוכבים'.

בהפטרה נקרא על עוד מסע בין כוכבים בו המלאך הולך וחוזר פעמיים, מתגלה למנוח ולאישתו ומברך אותם שיוולד להם בן שיגאל אותנו מיד פלשתים.

אז מה תפקידנו פה בDC?
לחכות להתגלות בצורת מלאך או עב"מ גלקטי מאזור 51?
או
להשמיע קולנו, לברך שנגאל מהפלישתים ושישים לנו שבת שלום?

היום, כבר לא סופרים את העומר.
הרחמן הוא יחזיר לנו את ברכת הכהנים למקומה

About assignments, revelation and blessings.

The parasha begins with assignments;
Levis- carrying the parts of the Tabernacle
Tribe Presidents- dedicating the Tabernacle.

What's the assignment of Aaron's family?
"You shall bless the Israelites:
May God bless and guard you.
May God cause his face to shine to shine and favor to you.
May God raise his face towards you and grant you with peace.

This ancient blessing will be recited by Jews all over the world tonight at Shabbat dinner.
How ancient?
The blessing is written on a 2700 years old silver scroll, found near Liberty bell park in Jerusalem.

In Synagogue, the priests bless the congregation while they are raising their hands in this form 🖖
Inspired by that, the Jewish actor Leonard Nimoy, implanted this sign in the famous TV serie 'star trek'.

In the Haftarah we will read about another star trek, the angel comes and goes twice when he reveals himself to Manoach and his wife, and blesses them to have a child who will redeem us from the Philistines.

So what is our assignment here in DC?
To wait for a revelation by an angel or UFO from area 51?
Or
Speak up and bless that we will be redeemed from the Philistines and that God will establish upon us shabat of Peace?

Today, we no longer count the Omer, the merciful will return the priests blessings to it's place
