על סליחה וחשבון נפש

יום כיפור פ"ו

והעשור בפינתנו ארץ DC ירושלים:

(ואני לא מקדים את המאוחר אלא מחשבה יוצרת מציאות)

בשבוע שבו מתקשרים לבקש סליחה ממי שפגענו בו,
מחר, "בעשור לחודש השביעי יום כיפורים" נתכנס בבתי הכנסת ונעשה חשבון נפש. על מי אנחנו ומה אנחנו מציגים לאמריקאים.

בביקור 'מקרי' בחדר האוכל בקולג' בPA ראיתי את המסך שבתמונה (בדגש על צד ימין)..
🎗=סרטן ילדים?!

השבוע רוה"מ החליף את הסיכה בהתאם לנאומו, מחר הכהן הגדול יחליף את בגדיו בהתאם לעבודתו,
האם גם אנו פה בDC נוכל להחליף את הלוגו בהתאם לזמן והמקום, אבל בלי לפגוע במסר החשוב?..

האם יש סמל ש:
* אמריקאים מזהים בקלות
* מדבר על חזרה הביתה ולמשפחה
* תנ"כי
* מתאים ליום כיפור תשפ"ו שבה פה בDC חוגגים 250?

נכון זה קול יחיד ובודד (בנתיים)
ממש כמו כל הקריאות מחר..
* בתורה- עבודת הכהן הגדול
* בהפטרה- "קרא בגרון אל תחשוך כשופר הרם קולך והגד לעמי פשעם ולבית יעקב חטאתם"
* ובמנחה- יונה נמצא בעיר יפו (יש 15 Joppa כאן בUSA), יוצא לבדו לננווה להגיד להם לחזור בתשובה ולמרבה ההפתעה הם מקשיבים לו..

כי כמו שאמר הנשיא השכן השבוע; "ירושלים חשובה ליהודים אבל גם להרבה אנשים אחרים"

בתפילה שכולנו "בשנת היובל הזאת תשובו איש אל אחוזתו"
וגם אתה 'המלך הקדוש': 'שתחזינה עינינו בשובך לציון ושם נעבדך ביראה וכשנים קדמוניות.'

(I know there is another 2 weeks for this song; this now is wishful thinking)

In the week that we call to ask forgiveness from the ones we offended,
Tomorrow " the 10th day of the 7th month Yom Hakipurim" we will gather in Synagogue and do 'self examination'. About who we are and what are presenting to our American neighbors.

In a 'random' visit to a college dining room in PA I saw the TV screen in the picture (specifically on the right side)..
🎗= Childhood cancer?!

This week Prime Minister Netanyahu changed the Pin according to his speech,
Tomorrow the Kohen Hagadol will change his clothes according to his work,
Maybe we here in DC can change the Logo according to the time&place, without changing the important message?.

Is there a logo that:
* Americans easily recognize
* Speaks about returning to HOME&family
* Biblical
* Fits to Yom Kippur 5786 when here in DC we will celebrate 250 years?

Yes! 'Liberty Bell' 🔔the logo of PA with the famous quote from Leviticus 25: " on Yom Kippur you shall sound a Shofar throughout the land, you shall sanctify the fiftieth year and 'proclaim liberty throught the land for all its inhabitants' it shall be the Jubilee year for you, you shall return each man to his ancestral heritage and you shall return each man to his family"

But who knows this logo? The whole world basically…

I know thats a one lonely voice (for now)
Like all the reading tomorrow..
