על חג מתן תורה ומגילת רות

אנו נמצאים בחודש סיוון הלא הוא "החודש השלישי לצאת בני ישראל מארץ מצרים באו מדבר סיני"
והיומיים הקרובים- חג מתן התורה, גדושים בקריאה בתורה, בנביאים ובכתובים.

נתחיל במוסר הבינלאומי- עשרת הדיברות אותן נוכל לראות ביותר מ 45 נקודות ברחבי ארה"ב

נמשיך בהפטרה בחזון יחזקאל המתאר מעמד מיוחד במינו המסתכם במשפט:
"ותישאני רוח ואשמע אחרי קול רעש גדול, ברוך כבוד ה' ממקומו"

עד כאן יחס אדם לאלוהים. מה עם אדם לחברו?

איזה כיף שיש שבת ובה נקרא על חוקי חברת המופת בארץ הקודש; תרומות, מעשרות, שמיטת כספים.. וכמובן מועדי השנה והבולט שבהם:
"ועשית חג שבועות נידבת ידך אשר תיתן… ושמחת לפני ה' אתה ומשפחתך ועבדך ואמתך והגר והיתום והאלמנה אשר בקירבך"

רגע, עד עכשיו זה לעם ישראל בארצו, מה לגבי שליחותנו פה בDC, איך שכנינו יבינו את כל זה?

התשובה היא ירושלים!
עכשיו מה השאלה?

הרי שם כולם מיועדים להיפגש;
"במקום אשר יבחר ה' אלוהיך לשכן שמו שם"
כמו שפותח הנביא חבקוק בהפטרה:
"וה' בהיכל קדשו הס מפניו כל הארץ"

מגילת רות אותה נקרא מחר מספרת על המואביה שראתה את חמותה נעמי איתנית בזהותה היהודית, וחוזרת אל השורשים שלה בבית לחם יהודה.
רות נצמדת אליה בכדי ללמוד עוד;
"אל אשר תלכי אלך ובאשר תליני אלין עמך עמי.."
בהמשך היא מתחתנת עם בועז ונולד דוד המלך ההוא מהדגל 🇮🇱

שכנינו כל-כך אוהבים את בית לחם שהם סוגרים את המדינה ומקשטים את חצרות הבתים בחג לידתו של נצר לבית דוד, בבית לחם יהודה.
בנוסף לאחרונה במספר מדינות בארה"ב כבר לא משתמשים בביטוי 'הגדה המערבית'

כל מה שחסר זה שאנחנו נצביע ונגיד את זה בעצמנו!

היומיים הקרובים זה תזמון מצויין לכך, יש המון זמן פנוי:
"וביום הביכורים.. בשבועותיכם כל מלאכה לא תעשו"

We are in the month of Sivan
"The third month to the Exsodus of the Israelites from Egypt to the Sinai dessert"
And the following days, the celebration of the 'Holiday of receiving the Torah', will be filled with reading all sections of the Bible.

We will start with the international moral law- 10 comandments, which we can spot in more than 45 locations cross country

We will continue in the Haftara from Ezekiel's vision which describes a profound ceremony that concludes with the famous sentence:
"A wind carried me and I heard a loud noise, God's respect will be blessed from its place"

So far relationship between God and man, what about a man to his fellow?

On Shabbat we will read the laws to a perfect society of the holyland: donations, Tithe, release of debts…and ofcourse the holidays.
Extra attention for "you shall have a Shavuot holiday, the generosity of your hand which you will give, be happy before God, you your family, slaves gentiles, orphan and widdow that are with you"

Wait, this is for the Israelites in their land, what about our mission here in DC, how will our neighbours will understand all of that?

The answer is Jerusalem
Now, what's the question?

We all shall meet there;
"The place that God chose to dwell his name in"
Like the prophet Habakuk begins the haftarah:
"God in his holy hall, the earth is silenced before him"

Tomorrow we will read the book of Ruth, the moabite.
she saw her mother in law so connected to her jewsih identity, going back to her roots in BethLechem Judea.
Ruth sticks around saying: "where you go or sleep I shall follow, your God is my God"
Later on she married Boaz and gives birth to king David, the guy from the flag🇮🇱

Our neighbours love BethLechem so much that the whole country is closed and the front lawns are decorated in the holiday of the birth of the descendant to the 'House Of David' in BethLechem Judea.
Nevertheless few states are no longer using the term 'west bank'

The merciful will return the bringing of the Bikurim to its place in our days.
